Take the Ice Bucket Challenge!

As some of you may know, Spike Hike nominated me to pour a bucket of ice cold water over Polo Field. This is all part of the "Ice Bucket Challenge" that many are taking to help create awareness and find a cure for ALS (otherwise known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.)

 

ALS effects the way people move, meaning their bodies will gradually become paralyzed because their muscles no longer work. 

 

The challenge is to donate to the cause at alsa.org within 24 hours of being nominated or... get ice water dumped on you. We're doing both! We're challenging the Club Penguin office to donate to this worthy cause, AND we're taking the Ice Bucket Challenge...

 

 

In other news... Spike Hike is hosting an ALS Awareness Party  today at 1:00pm PST on desktop computers. Log on to the server Fog at 1pm to join the fun! Everyone is invited to log on and help spread awareness!

Build a Snowman Puffle? - Frozen Party Sneak Peek

Last week we showed you some of the new interactivity for the upcoming Frozen Party. 

 

We've got one more exciting thing to confirm... Members will be able to create their very own snowman puffle!

 

 

Hmmm... looks kinda familiar... 

 

This puffle will only be available during the Frozen Party, from August 21 - Sept 3.

Fabulous Place of the Month!

Hi-ya! It's been a month since I have told you about the Fabulous Place of the month, so let's have a look at this month's Fabulous Place: The Everyday Phoning Facility.

The Everyday Phoning Facility is a building located in Ski Village.

The room has a secret elevator behind the waterfall that leads to the EPF Command Room.

 

The room has always been the cover for the Elite Penguin Force after the Penguin Secret Agency had dissolved. Originally, it was just a grey, empty room, with a lone phone booth and pillars on all sides, one of which opened up to reveal an elevator to the agency headquarters. Later, it served as an office where penguins come to work, and also a phone directory service.

To become an agent, this is what you do: 

You answer the call from the ringing phone in the corner. Talk with the Director and accept the challenge. You get your EPF Phone (shown below) and you're an agent.

The room itself is basically a cover for the agency, though it has other uses. 

Everyday Phoning Facility in abbreviation is EPF, which also stands for 'Elite Penguin Force' (CLASSIFIED).
